We've grown up in a time where co-dependency seems frowned upon and "till death do us part" has become "till I find someone who offers me a better pre-nup." Our parents were the products of the age where freedom to be on your own and make your own money became more important than leaning on anyone else. As a result that independent type of thinking has bled over into the cracks of our generation. It's not to say that being your own person is a bad thing, but when does it become too much? When does being independent become building up a wall?
L.O.V.E. has been on my mind a lot lately. I keep wondering if it even exists. I don't mean "infatuation" or "in like," but real over-the-top-can't-eat-can't-sleep-can't-live-without-each other-out-of-the-ballpark type of L.O.V.E. Maybe that kind of love only exists in The Notebook.
